Quitman McDonald

Quitman Eugene McDonald, 78, of Sherwood passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016. He was born December 17, 1937 in Wrightsville, Arkansas to Jim and Addie McDonald. He was a member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ, very much a dedicated Christian and loved his family. He worked for the U S Postal Service for 33 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a sports fan, loved baseball and playing games with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Jean Henderson McDonald, of Sherwood; daughter, Debbie (Danny) Partridge, of Little Rock; son, Sam McDonald, of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Amanda Partridge, Tanner McDonald and Britney McDonald; sisters, Betty Fowler and Lucy Brann; a special niece, Lois Sikes and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Edna Young, Norma Dreher, Mary Riggin, Helen Johnston, Ruby Johnson; brothers, Felix, Colvin and Robert McDonald.
Memorials donation, may be made to Harding University, 915 E. Market Street, Searcy, Arkansas 72143.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Martindale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
