R.T. "Cotton" Porterfield age 85 of Bismarck died Oct. 14 2010. He was born Feb. 23,1925 the son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Porterfield of Malvern, AR.
R.T. was associated with the Pentecostal Church and a retired member of the local Union # 1282 of Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffery Bryan Norton, one granddaughter, Cheryl Denise Williams and his dear friend Marvin Kizziar.
R.T. was survived by his wife of 66 years Jenettie Yarbrough Porterfield, 3 daughters, one of Hot Springs, Diana Porterfield of Bismarck, Sue Williams and husband Gene of Bismarck, one son, David Porterfield and wife Norralene of Texas; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; one sister Zelma Shepard of San Antonio, TX.
Services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, October 17th at the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ in Bismarck with Pastor Douglas Fendley Officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are: Scotty Williams, Dewayne and James Porterfield, Bryan Williams, Jason Stiles, Billy Keeton.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Gene Yarbrough, A.J. Bond, Doyle Yarbrough, Dewayne Yarbrough, James Tims, Robert Woodall, and Dale Weaver.
