Raleigh Barnabas Cornwall III

June 7, 1938 — February 10, 2022

Raleigh Barnabas Cornwall III passed from this life on February 10, 2022 at the McClellan Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was a veteran of the United States Army and an active member of Life Church of Little Rock. He was born June 7, 1938 in St. Louis, MO to the late Raleigh B. and Viania Oleda (Ireland) Cornwall. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Kim Cornwall, and sister, Janet Roberts, preceded Mr. Cornwall in death.

 

He enjoyed bluegrass music, camping, fishing, eating catfish, and traveling. Mr. Cornwall was always happiest when spending time with his beloved family, attending countless ballgames, birthday parties and holiday gatherings. He never met a stranger and triggered countless smiles with his many jokes. He was a devoted Christian, conservative, and richly blessed those he loved most with an abundance of wisdom, kindness and patience.

 

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Mary E. Cornwall; children, Ronnie Mooney (Deborah) of Sheridan, Scott Cornwall (Wendy) of Lexington, MI, Tonya Neal (Todd) of Alexander, Todd Cornwall (Kimberly) of Bauxite, and Lisa Brians (Alan) of Russellville. Other survivors include grandchildren Dustin, Joseph, Christian, Zeb, Trevor, Ava, Tracy, Taylor, Tanner, Ashley, Sara, Emily, Hope, Shayna and Zach; along with numerous great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Life Church of Little Rock (Otter Creek Assembly of God) with Pastor John Tracy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation begins at 10:00am at the church, prior to the memorial service.
