Ray McEuen

R Ray McEuen, age 83, of Little Rock passed away on February 21, 2024. He was born June 6, 1940, in Little Rock. 


In 1966, Ray graduated from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering where he was second in his class. He was also a proud veteran of the Marine Corps. In 1995, Ray retired from the Little Rock Air Force Base where he served as the Deputy Chief of Civil Engineering. Ray was also an active member of UUCLR and ReQuesters Class.


Immediately after retirement he worked at Copper Canyon Lodges near Creel, Mexico as a part-time hiking guide from 1995 to 2000.  He enjoyed working and hiking with people from all over the world. Many who are still friends. 


He is preceded in death by his parents, RR McEuen Sr, and Vernie H McEuen; originally from McRae, Arkansas, and his brother, James (Mickey) McEuen.


Ray is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sue Stagg McEuen; along with a host of many nieces and nephews.


At his request, there will be  no funeral or memorial.
