Raymon Earl Brockinton, 85, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away December 19, 2024. He was born April 13, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Clarance and Mildred Brockinton.
Ray is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Leona Brockinton; his parents; siblings, Maurice Brockinton, Waymon Brockinton and Kenneth Brockinton. He is survived by his three children: Gary Brockinton (Joy), Bobby Brockinton (Sheila) and Brenda Mothershed (Jason); ten grandchildren: Gary Joe Brockinton, Jessica McBay, Joshua Brockinton, Cory Brockinton, Kristen McElroy, Kelly Jones, Clayton Brockinton, Ronni Behrends, Cody Brockinton and Breanna Mothershed; ten great-grandchildren: Kensley Brockinton, Noah Brockinton, Westin Brockinton, Colton Brockinton, Kayla McBay, Gunner Brockinton, Oakley Brockinton, Ethan McElroy, Emalyn Jones and Jackson Cassidy; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored. A special thank you to our “adopted” family member, Shelley Meek, for her exceptional love and care for our dear father.
Ray worked in construction building community and relationships throughout his life. He was the owner of Ray’s Catfish Cabin along with his wife Leona and family. Later in life, he enjoyed working in the hay fields with his children and grandchildren. Ray had a wonderful sense of humor that will be missed by everyone.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Bayou Meto Baptist Church, Jacksonville with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bayou Meto Cemetery.
