“I am the daughter of the King who is not moved by the world. For my God is with me and goes before me. I will not fear for He is with me.”

Rebecca Sue Zellmer-Atcherson, AuD went to be with her heavenly Father on October 3, 2025, three days after her 46th birthday

.Rebecca was born in San Antonio, TX. When she was six months old, she moved to Yokota AFB, Japan. Rebecca moved to Arkansas just before her 4th birthday. It was Sherwood and North Little Rock that she called home.

Rebecca graduated from Central Arkansas Christian School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Ouachita Baptist University, her Master’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis and her AuD from Salus University. After working briefly in Sioux Falls, SD; Rebecca joined the pediatric audiology department at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. While there her compassion and commitment touched the lives of countless children and families. She shared her professional expertise but also her personal journey with hearing loss, encouraging children and their families as well as fellow professionals. Her genuine kindness touched many lives and had a positive impact on many people.

Rebecca was a daughter of the King. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the center of her life. She raised her daughters to be believers in Jesus Christ, and they will tell you that her example and teaching had a huge impact on their lives. She was dedicated to her daughters and fully involved in their lives. She didn’t care if they were leading a song at chapel or playing for the state championship in volleyball, nothing could keep her from being there to be their biggest cheerleader. Her children Calleigh and Bayleigh were the center of her life. She leaves them in the care of a village of relatives and friends who have already surrounded them in Christian love.

Sharing in grief at her passing are her daughters Calleigh and Bayleigh, her parents Ken and Ruth Zellmer, her brother Jason and His wife Laura and two nieces Emersyn and Lennyn. In addition, she had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless other friends and coworkers. Rebecca was loved by many people.
