Rebecca Draper, R.N., passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026. Born on January 17, 1958, she devoted her life to caring for others with a compassion and dedication that exemplified her career as a registered nurse. Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Henderson State University, a foundation upon which she built a lifetime of service in the healthcare field.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Rebecca’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and community. She was cherished for her kindness, strength, and the gentle care she extended both professionally and personally.

Rebecca is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jennifer Kemp; her brothers, Larry (Kay) Helms; her sisters Linda Daniel, Sheila (Mark) Wilson, Pam (Jesse) Rucker, and Kim Speed. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Gaia Myers, Atticus Myers, Jaslene Terrazas, Sarah Loy, James Loy, and Deja Evans, and her dear great-grandchildren Qu'rah, Octavian, and Elaynah. Rebecca also leaves behind a close-knit circle of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of dear friends who held her in high regard.

She was preceded in death by her parents C.J. and Martha Helms; her brother Douglas Helms; her son Joshua Kemp; and her sister-in-law Sarah Helms.

A memorial service to honor Rebecca’s life will be held on June 4, 2026, at 11:00AM., at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas, located at 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR 71913.

Honorary pallbearers are Mary Livingston and Nathan Atlas. 

Rebecca Draper’s enduring spirit and the countless lives she touched in her steadfast care and love ensure she will be remembered with profound respect and affection. Her legacy of compassion and dedication remains an inspiration to all who knew her.
