Reiman Freeman Diles

Reiman Freeman Diles, age 75, of Mount Ida, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

He was born on July 27, 1947, in Little Rock, the son of Robert Earl Diles and Dorothy Ann Reiman Diles. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Randy Diles.

Reiman married the love of his life, Peggy Diles, on May 10, 1975. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. His proudest accomplishment was his 26 years in the Navy and Air National Guard. He was thoroughly proud of his service and loved the many trips he took in the military. He loved fishing, jogging, playing racquetball at the base, and he was known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Diles of Mount Ida; his son, Ray Diles of Euless, Texas; his sister and brother-in-law, D’Ann and Greg Lindstrom of Little Rock; his niece, Kaye’D Diles of Louisiana; his four sisters-in-law, Hazel, Anna, JoAn, Norma, and Reba “Tiny”; his cousin, Lindie Brewer of Denver, Colorado; his two special Military friends, James Rundel and Steve Haynes; his special friends Lon and Barbara Monfills; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Lyon officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, prior to services on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Honorary Pallbearers are the loving staff at the Montgomery County Nursing Home.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the United Methodist Church in Beebe, 302 North Main Street, Beebe, AR 72102

Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, 209 North 3^rd St, Glenwood, AR 71943.
