Rena Dwinell

Rena Dwinell, age 102, of Amity, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018. She was born on August 23, 1916 in the Mount Tabor community of Montgomery County, the daughter of James Isaac Huggins and Ora Wisener Huggins. On January 25, 1936, she was married to James Q. Dwinell who preceded her in death on March 19, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Norman Huggins, Roy Huggins, Herbert Huggins, Dewey Huggins and Eugene Huggins; and one sister, Rilza Conine. She was a member of the Glenwood First Baptist Church and the TEL Sunday School Class. She loved flowers, gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Elwood Massey of Amity; three grandchildren and their spouses, Mika and Ken Cantrell of Raleigh, North Carolina, James and Terra Massey of Rogers and Isaac and Beth Massey of Amity; eight great-grandchildren, Nicole Cantrell, Gabe Cantrell, Ashley Massey, Olivia Massey, Cloey Massey, Sully Massey, Averly Massey and Jacey Massey; her sister, Resa Weaver of Fort Worth, Texas; and her nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 20, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Erby Burgess officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
