Reva Louise Wahl Kirkpatrick

Reva Louise Wahl Kirkpatrick, born on August 25, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on December 21, 2024. She was a vibrant and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many. Reva's journey through life was marked by her unwavering support for her family and a deep commitment to her passions.

Reva served as a secretary for over 20 years, showcasing diligence and integrity in her work. In 1982, she took a significant step with her husband of 63 years, Robert “Bud” Kirkpatrick, by starting a business together, which they both cherished and operated until 2020. Her professional endeavors were complemented by her pursuit of education; she graduated from Mabelvale High School and took night courses to refine her secretarial skills, demonstrating her dedication to lifelong learning.

Beyond her career, Reva's proudest personal accomplishments unfolded in her life, particularly her love for horses. At the age of 50, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a horse owner. This passion flourished into a beautiful endeavor where she helped special needs children through equine rehabilitation while also playing an active role in aiding the Arkansas Horse Council  with the rescue and rehoming of abandoned and abused horses. By the age of 65, Reva had embraced her identity as an avid horsewoman, achieving remarkable success by placing 2nd in the nation in Endurance Competitive Trail Riding alongside her beloved horse, Buddy, who secured 1st place.

Reva was a lifelong Christian who enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. She accepted Christ as her savior in her childhood, and she endeavored to instill her Christian values in her children and grandchildren. She was known for her supportive and encouraging nature, consistently uplifting her children Jennie Lee Kirkpatrick, Marty Kirkpatrick and Michelle Hastings, as well as her grandchildren, Kris Bugeja, Josh Kirkpatrick, Jennie Boast, and Jared Hastings. Her loving spirit extended to her great-grandchildren, Walter Bugeja and Rowan Boast. She also shared a bond with her siblings, Bucky Wahl, Georgie Spears, Sandy Henson, and Billy Wahl.

Reva is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jennie Lee Kirkpatrick, and her parents, Martin "Buck" Wahl and Rosie Wahl.
