Richard "Rick" Russell

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Rick Russell on November 8, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Rick was born in Raleigh North Carolina on March 10, 1946. Throughout his life he was known for his kind heart, sense of humor and unwavering love for his family and friends. Rick was an avid hunter and fisherman - he went on many hunting and fishing trips around the world. Those who knew Rick well knew how passionate he was for his African Safari room that he created throughout the years going on safaris.

Rick was a dedicated co-owner of their family business Russell Chevrolet Company. He shared his life in love with his devoted wife, Cindy. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends making many memories. They always loved entertaining at their lake house and enjoying beautiful Lake Hamilton.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, John and Virginia Russell. He is survived by the love of his life CIndy Russell; three sons: Shan (Sarah), Jarrod (Heather) and Rory (Marika); siblings: Bob (Beverly) Russell and Renee (Phil) Wright; grandchildren: Riley, Lindsey, Alec, Nate, Ashlyn & McKenzie; and a great-grandchild, River. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Smith funeral home.
