Rickey Eugene Lee

Rickey Eugene Lee passed away peacefully the afternoon of Saturday, September 23, 2023, with the love of his family surrounding him.

Rickey was born in Delight, AR in 1955 to Edward and Pauline. In 1974, he met the love of his life and best friend, Peggy Ann Barrett. They would then have their first date on Valentine's Day of 1975 marry on April 11, 1975.

Shortly after marrying, Rickey and Peggy welcomed their first of four daughters, Linda “Pauline”, in 1977, followed shortly by Norma in 1978, Edna in 1979, and Cindy in 1983. Rickey was a devoted husband and father and dedicated his life to his family. Rickey was a man of many passions including camping, hunting, fishing, music, cars and later on in life, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be missed by his wife of 48 years, Peggy; his children, Pauline and husband BJ. of Alpine, AR, Edna and husband Matt of Amity, AR, Cindy and husband Cody of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Blaine, Valerie, Braylee, Anthony, Treis, Alex, Brianna, Andrew, Isabelle, Christopher, Israel, Caitlyn ; six great-grandchild, Cassidy, Blakely, Edith, Audelia, and two more on the way. He will also be missed by his siblings Roy, Doug and wife Sandra, Sharon and her husband Eugene, brother-in-law Carl, D’Nelle and her husband Roger, and a whole crew of nieces and nephews as well as extended family members and friends.

Rickey was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Pauline, his in-laws Ray and Linda; siblings, Guy Lewis, Leon, James, Helen, Eddie Ray; sibling in-laws Rickey Ray, Robin; and daughter, Norma.

A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the Amity City Hall, 121 E Thompson St. Amity, AR.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
