Rita C. Borecky

Rita Borecky, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away January 13, 2026 in Maumelle AR. Rita was born January 2, 1957 in Killeen, TX to the late Lurlie (Grey) and Doyle H. Davis.

Rita is survived by her loving children Marc Stacks (Michelle) and Amy Huston (Cody). She also leaves behind two sisters, Sherry Bell and Sonja Frey (Alan), and one brother, Doyle Davis (Becky), six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Rita served in the AR Army National Guard as a Master Sergeant (MSG) and retired in 2013 after 26 years of service to include two deployments. She was highly decorated and respected by her colleagues. Since retiring she enjoyed being a Master Gardener and traveling the world. She had a passion for nurturing plants and sharing her knowledge with others.

Rita will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kind heart, generous spirit, and love and dedication to her family will always be remembered.

Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2026  at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Memorial Service is 9:30 AM, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the funeral home with interment following at the AR State Veterans Cemetery.
