Robbie Lee Anderson, 92, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was born in Delaware, Arkansas on July 21, 1920 to Luther L. and Mary Jones and grew up in the Keo area. In 1950, she moved to Little Rock and worked at Ottenheimer Brothers and Kellwood Manufacturing Companies as a seamstress. Robbie took leave from her work as much as she could to stay home and take care of her family. She was a member of South Highland Baptist Church.
Robbie was married to Darrell Anderson for 73 years before he passed away just four weeks ago. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, William Anderson; brother, Dorman Jones; sisters, Modene James, Lorene Bunch and Mae Pebernat. She is survived by her children, Martha Gangluff (John) of Roland, Bob Anderson (Tonnie) and Debbie Staton (Troy), both of Cabot; sisters, Geneva Marshall of Little Rock and Neoma Russo of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Valley Ranch Nursing Home for their most loving and compassionate care and also Arkansas Hospice who helped take care of Robbie for the past four weeks.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Keo Cemetery, Keo, Arkansas.
