Robert "Bob" Truman Arthur age 78 of Bismarck died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at his home. He was born June 9, 1932 in Benton, Arkansas the son of the late Herbert William and Flora Mable Graves Arthur. Bob was a Baptist, worked for several years at Harrington Construction Co. in Arkadelphia, and owned and operated a Backhoe & Dump Truck Service in the Bismarck area. One brother, August George Bieslick and one sister, Willie Jewell Berry preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Williams Arthur; four sons, Larry Robert Arthur; Ronald Neal Arthur and wife, LeighAnn all of Benton, AR; Kenneth Nathan Arthur of Bismarck, AR; Jeffrey Scott Arthur and wife, Tara of Hot Springs, AR: one daughter, Patricia Ellen Mesa and husband, Candy of Benton, AR; one sister, Sybil Lee Hall of Benton, AR; sister-in-law, Lucille Bieslick of Benton, AR; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 11th at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Bob Clark officiating. Burial will be in Oak Bower Cemetery near Bismarck. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
