Robert Wilson Bailey (Adamson)

Robert Wilson (Adamson)-Bailey, was born on July 14, 1971, in Torrance, California. He passed away on October 20, 2024, at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, after a courageous year-long battle with Secondary Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), after beating Large Diffuse B-Cell Lymphoma. 

Robert graduated from J.A. Fair High School in 1989 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in TV, Radio, and Film with a minor in Psychology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He furthered his education by obtaining a master’s degree in Library Sciences from Texas Woman's University. Robert dedicated over a decade to the Central Arkansas Library System before concluding his career as a Clinical Application Training Specialist at UAMS.

A member of the Community of Christ, Robert identified as a Buddhist Christian and passionately advocated for equal justice, LGBTQ rights, and women’s rights. His love for music was reflected in his impressive collection of nearly 1,000 vinyl records. He was an avid roller coaster enthusiast, an anglophile, and a devoted cat owner to his beloved Kinko.

Robert was married to Clifton Bailey-Adamson on December 23, 2017, after being together since March 2014. He is survived by Clifton, his two sisters, Rose Solis (husband Dennis) of San Antonio, TX, and Terri Richardson (husband Neal) of Redfield, AR, along with 16 nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Webster Bailey and Violet Marie Wilson, and his brother, Gary Bailey.

Robert will be remembered for his kindness and love, his fierce spirit, and his unwavering commitment to social justice. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
