Robert "Bobby" Grady Hill, Jr., 51, of Benton, passed away on June 22, 2026, at Baptist Health Medical Center. Born on July 17, 1974, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Bobby will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, and the friendships he built throughout his life.

Bobby proudly served in the United States Army, where he dedicated himself to protecting his country with honor and courage. During his military career, he received numerous awards and commendations, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, and the Combat Action Badge. These honors reflect the commitment and dedication he showed throughout his years of service.

One of the greatest blessings in Bobby's life came last year when he gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized by Pastor Jonathan at Pleasant Valley Church in Little Rock. His faith brought him comfort and peace, and his family finds hope in knowing the decision he made to follow Christ.

More than any title or accomplishment, Bobby treasured being a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He shared a special bond with his wife, Michelle Hill, and was grateful for the life they built together. He was a proud father to Tyler Pennington and his wife, Cristin, and Brittany Schane. His greatest joy was his granddaughter, Ella May Pennington, who could always bring a smile to his face.

He is also survived by his father, Robert Grady Hill, Sr.; his sister, Ginger Covert and her husband, Richard; his nieces and nephews, Bailey Glenn, Blake Wagner and wife, Brianna, Bryson Glenn, and Brian Glenn; and his great-nephew, Ryder Wagner, who held a special place in his heart.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Hill.

Those who knew Bobby will remember his loyalty, his sense of humor, and the way he cared for the people he loved. Whether serving alongside fellow soldiers or spending time with family and friends, he was someone others could count on. His life was one of service, sacrifice, and love, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured for years to come.

A funeral service celebrating Bobby's life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton. Burial with military honors will follow at 12:00 noon at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Bobby's family takes comfort in knowing that while they will miss him dearly, his faith in Christ gives them the assurance that this is not goodbye forever. His memory, his love, and the example of his service to both God and country will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
