Robert David Fitzjerrell, 76 of Sherwood, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at his residence. He was born on July 15, 1932 in Bee Branch, Arkansas. He was the son of Timothy Leon Fitzjerrell and Earl Rosa Jones Fitzjerrell.
Robert was a retired Civil Serviceman and a retired veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. He was a Bronze Star recipient, a member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ and a long time volunteer with St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital.
Survivors include a wife Betty Smart Fitzjerrell of Sherwood; two children, Rebecca Ann (George) Fitzjerrell Wells, and Robert Mark Fitzjerrell; and grandchildren Mary Kathryn Wells and George Macfadden Wells Jr.,and a sister Verdun Bradley of Fayette, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009 at Sylvan Hills Church of Christ with Robert Wingfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
Pallbearers are Philip Beall, Bob Bray, Quitman McDonald, Bob Powell, Freddie Stone, Bill Weeks, Jim Soloman, and Wendell Chesshir, with Loyd Sims, Grayson Spears serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Huson Funeral Home on 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, AR.
