Robert Harry Collins

Robert Harry Collins, age 89, passed away on June 30, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1937, in Virginia, Illinois.

Robert was a hardworking man who loved his family deeply and enjoyed the simple things in life. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a military police officer, a role that reflected the sense of duty and dedication he carried throughout his life.

He spent many years working at Timex before later becoming a truck driver with Affiliated Foods. No matter where he worked, Robert was dependable, took pride in doing a good job, and believed in the value of hard work.

When he wasn't working, Robert could usually be found outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, swimming, and spending time in nature. He was also a loyal Chicago Bears fan who looked forward to cheering on his team each season.

More than anything, Robert loved his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his great-grandsons, who were not only his family but his buddies. Family cruises became some of his favorite adventures, creating memories that his loved ones will treasure for years to come.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Collins; his parents, Joseph and Marjorie Collins; and his brother, Gerald Collins.

Those who knew Robert will remember a kind, steady man who loved his family well, worked hard, and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. His presence will be greatly missed, but the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
