Robert “Bob” Hopper, age 74, of Mountain Pine, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023.

 

He was born on September 29, 1948, in Visalia, California, the son of Glen Hopper and Frances Alderman Hopper.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight siblings, Edna, Helen, Evelina, Thelma, Chester, Earl, Lester and Earnest.

 

Bob was a Christian and a member of Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church.  He enjoyed just piddlin’ around, being in the outdoors and mowing grass.  His family was first with him.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his family.  Bob was quite the jokester and loved a good game of Dominos.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Hopper; three children, Tricia Hopper, Jean Lepitre and Robert Ray Hopper; five grandchildren, Corey Hopper, Sarah Miller, Kaylin Hopper, Halie Hopper and Brooklyn Lepitre; ten great-grandchildren, Brenden, Colbi, Carter, Jerzee, Juan, Jorge, Rosalie, Gavin, Dallis and Cruze; three siblings, Norma, Delores, and Thurman; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

 

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2023, with Bro. Buddy Leamons officiating in the Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
