Robert Lewis Taylor

Master Sergeant Robert Lewis Taylor, age 79, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2023. Born on September 10, 1944, Robert was raised by grandparents Vilas and Maggie Taylor in Arbyrd, Missouri. After a twenty-year career with the Air Force, he would go on to serve his country another twenty years with the U.S. Department of Defense.

Robert and his wife, Betty, made Searcy their home in 2016. He had a passion for family, friends, his country, and of course his beloved dogs, Louie and Lou-Lou. Any that met Robert walked away a friend. He was a generous and kind soul who will be missed by all who knew him.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta and Claudie Taylor; grandparents Vilas and Maggie; and daughter Magilie Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Betty; sons George (Tammy) and Joe (Lee Ann) Taylor of Paragould; grandson Joseph (Liz) Taylor of Rogers; grandson Robert Scotty (Keesha) Adams and their children, Trayden and Jaden, of Prairie Grove; stepdaughter Deanna (Glenn) Curtis of Searcy and their children, Jessica Curtis, Drew Curtis, Gabriel Curtis, and Neal (Gretchen) Burns; stepdaughter Tiffany Jackson of Searcy and her daughter, Jaden Jackson; Bill Brown of North Little Rock; and countless other family and friends too numerous to mention.

The family will have a private memorial in his honor and request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Searcy.
