Retired Colonel Robert Lynn Jackson, 79, of North Little Rock passed into his Savior's arms Friday, September 12, 2025. He was born in Booneville, AR to the late Clarence Foster Jackson and Joyce Mullins Jackson. He was the oldest of seven children.

Robert lived a full life devoted to his family, community, and his church. He was a workaholic to no-end. 

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Bobbie Ann Jackson, his parents, and a brother, Dwight A. Jackson.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Peggy M. Jackson; daughters: Phyllis JoAnn Inglis, Cindy Lynn Jackson, Nora Renee' Kuhn (Don), Anita Joyce Rogers (Dean); step-son, Keith Glover; grandchildren: Ryan Lynn Reynolds, Brittni Ann Diffenderfer, Blake Jackson Gilliam, Morgan Dean Rogers, Katelynn Renee Rogers, Maggie Grace Gilliam, Jacque Demonbreun, Carter Sullivan Davis; great-grandchildren: Kaylie Ann Diffenderfer and Bryce Anthony Diffenderfer; siblings: Jackie Jackson, Billy Jackson, Greg Jackson, Irvin Jackson, Rebecca Wilson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A dedicated servant of the Lord, Robert's faith in Jesus Christ was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and commitments within his church community. He served diligently as the chairman of the deacon board and was particularly fond of contributing to the Monthly Fish Fry, where he shared his passion for fellowship and service with others.Beyond his commitments to his church, Robert was deeply involved in the Masonic community. He attained the esteemed rank of 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Little Rock. His leadership extended to several prestigious positions, including Past Grand Commander of the Knights Templar of Arkansas, Past High Priest of Faye Hempstead Chapter, and Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Occidental Council. He also contributed to various committees and organizations, such as serving as PEC & PGC of St. Giles conclave with the Red Cross of Constantine, as well as the Arkansas Council Knight Masons. Additionally, Robert was a proud member of the Holy Grail Tabernacle and the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priest, along with the Arkansas College SRICF and the Arkansas York Rite College.Robert held the position of Past Monarch of the Bendemeer Grotto and served as Past Grand Secretary of the Grottoes International. As the Past Master of Alumina Lodge #574, he left a significant mark on the fraternity through his leadership and commitment to its values.

Professionally, Robert retired from the U.S. Post Office and the Youth Challenger program, where he cultivated an enduring legacy of service and mentorship. His military career as a Colonel in the Arkansas National Guard further exemplified his dedication to duty and service to his country.

Robert's life was characterized by his deep faith, commitment to service, and dedication to family, friends, and community. He will be sorely missed by those who had the privilege to know him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at Smith Family Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Interment with military honors will take place at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM on the same day.

The deacons of Levy Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers: Gary Brazear, Karl Vesecky, Jim Munns, Richard McCall, J.D. Sexton, Stephen Smith, and David Jones.
