He graduated from IU and went to work in sales for a predecessor of Mead Paper Corp. where he spent 33 years and retired as President of Mead Merchants. His career led him to Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, Birmingham, MI, Hinsdale, IL and Kettering, OH. He and Joanie then moved on to Apopka, FL and finally Little Rock, AR.
His strong Christian faith was a huge part of his upbringing and continued through life. He was devoted to his wife and children throughout his life. His tireless work ethic and mission to do the right thing was the basis of his success. As a result, a journey of transfers and moves created a family that grew up with love and faith.
