Robert Wayne Owens Sr., born November 5, 1944, departed from his family and friends on June 10, 2011 in Queen City, TX. Born in Gurdon, AR., Robert served in the Marines during the Cuba Missile Crisis,
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Willie and Mollie Owens of Gurdon; 1 brother, Roland Owens of Baton Rouge; and two sisters, Jean Owens Quine of Texarkana, TX and Marie Owens Gillmore of Lake Charles, LA.
He is survived by one son, Robert Owens Jr. and one daughter, Lyn Owens, both of North Little Rock, AR; one granddaughter, Shelby Owens of Sherwood, AR; one brother, Gary Owens of Texarkana, AR; one sister, Eyvonne Owens Burton of Wilton, AR; and two special friends, Ron Wood of Queen City, TX and Carol Minken of Texarkana, AR.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
