Robert Jules Poffenbarger, fondly known as "Poff," was born on March 30, 1942, and he passed away on October 3, 2024. Throughout his life, Robert exemplified dedication, humor, and a passion for both family and work.
Robert enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the Office of Long-Term Care, a role he embraced since 1976 until his well-earned retirement. His commitment to his profession was unwavering, showcasing his strong work ethic. Robert was not just a dedicated employee; he was also known for his great sense of humor. As a jokester and prankster alongside his best friend, Maynard Vogelgesang, he brought humor to those around him, ensuring everyone felt at ease in his presence.
Education played an important role in shaping Robert, who earned his bachelor's degree and carried that pride throughout his life. Beyond his professional achievements, Robert had a fondness for working on old cars. Additionally, he enjoyed playing cards with "The Committee," a group of friends that undoubtedly benefited from his good-hearted spirit.
Robert's most cherished accomplishment was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Tinisa Poffenbarger, whose companionship brought immense joy to his life. He was a devoted father to his children, Richie Poffenbarger, Christine Judge (and her husband, Jimmy), and Michael Poffenbarger (and his wife, Patricia). The legacy of love that Robert created continues through his grandchildren, William Judge, Brandon Poffenbarger, and Cheyanne Poffenbarger, who will undoubtedly carry forward the warmth and laughter that he instilled in them.
Robert Jules Poffenbarger will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his work, his ability to bring smiles to others, and the immense love he had for his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
