Robert T. Stringer

Robert T. Stringer, of Hot Springs, AR, passed away on April 14, 2026. He was born on February 4, 1968.

Robert was a fearless follower of Jesus Christ whose life reflected his unwavering faith. He carried the joy of the Lord everywhere he went, sharing light, love, and encouragement with every single person he came in contact with. His presence had a way of lifting others, reminding them of hope, grace, and the goodness of God.

One of the most powerful ways Robert shared his faith was through music. He had a remarkable gift for writing songs—often creating them quickly and having them ready to share in what felt like record time. Through his music, he spread the joy of Jesus, touching hearts and pointing people toward Christ in a way only he could.

Without hesitation, Robert would gladly take on any project. He was just a call away—always ready to help, no matter the time or place. He would often drop everything, grab his “sidekick,” his wife, Julie Stringer, and hit the road to whoever needed him next. He wasn’t just maintenance for the detention center; he was maintenance for the entire community, for his family, and for anyone blessed enough to know him.

To those closest to him, he was the one you called when something needed fixing—because somehow, he could fix anything. His daughter often found herself saying, “My dad can fix it,” and more often than not, he did.

Robert also had a special love for the weather. Around his family, he was known as the “secret meteorologist.” Anytime a storm rolled in, you could count on him being on the phone, tracking it, talking through it, and making sure everyone was safe. Some of the most cherished memories were made by dropping everything to go storm chasing together—turning even the wildest weather into moments of connection, adventure, and joy.

Robert was a Cajun man through and through—and he loved his ghost peppers. If you know, you know. That fiery spirit was just another reflection of the bold, passionate way he lived his life.

Robert’s legacy is one of love, faith, and service. He lived with purpose, pouring into others and boldly walking in his calling. Through ministry, music, and everyday moments, he pointed people toward Christ and made them feel seen, valued, and loved.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Stringer; his daughters, Michelle (Lars Sampson), Melissa Stringer, and Jamie (Tyler Priddy); his cherished grandchildren, Emma, Charlotte, Ben, Culecie, and Carter; his sister, Barbara Danise (Neicey) Benoit; his in-laws, Judy and James Spence, and Nancy Fosco; his brother-in-law, Peter A Fosco; and many loving nieces and nephews, including Trey Benoit, Eden Benoit, Marley Breaux, Paul Fosco, Alex Coke, and Dominic Fosco.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Nel Stringer, and his father-in-law, Peter J Fosco.

A celebration of life service will be held at Rock Creek Family Church (300 Rock Creek Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913) in Hot Springs, AR on Tuesday, April 21 at 1:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life.
