Robert Lee Thompson, 75, of North Little Rock, left this world unexpectedly due to heart complications, Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1947, in Conway, AR to the late Jarvy and Lillie Thompson.
Robert was a member of Crystal Valley Baptist Church, a 1965 graduate of Oak Grove High School, and owner of Robert Thompson Construction. He took pride in his carpenter trade. Everyone that knew him, knew an honest, hard-working man. He enjoyed family gatherings, weekend drives, and helping others. He left a forever mark on so many and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Wilkiewicz Thompson; two children, Carla (Randy) Teer of North Little Rock, Mike (Dena) Thompson of Rose Bud; and three grandchildren, Jake and Gracie Thompson and Andrew Teer. Siblings, Faye Dean Penney, Sue Bauman, and Jerry (Barbara) Thompson as well as many special nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
“Can’t never could do anything” and “always do the right thing” were two of his favorite quotes.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, 4200 Division Street, NLR, AR 72118. Pallbearers will include: Jason Penney, Andrew Teer, Matt Ragland, Logan Jones, Jeff Taylor, T.J. Shelton, Alexander Baney, and Cliff Ruple. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Thompson and Steve Penney.
Following the burial service, the family would like to invite everyone to the Burns Park Hospitality House in North Little Rock from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
