Robert Towns

Robert J. (R.J.) Towns, 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2017. He was born March 15, 1929 in Alabama to Cecil and Pearl Towns. His lifelong profession was a brick mason. His legacy will live on in White County in the many homes and businesses he helped build.
He is survived by his children Toby (Fury) Towns and Debra (Dave) Daniel; three grandchildren, Chris (Roxanne Burnett, Shannon (Dawn) Towns, and Morgan Nixon; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; all of McRae; a sister, Geraldine (Walter) Burrows; good friend Penny Borllier; and a host of other friends.
He was preceded by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Lula Christine; three brothers, Alton Ray, Marion and Thomas Macon.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
