Robert Marion Winter

Robert “Bob” Marion Winter, 83, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away July 3, 2023. He was born on November 9, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Marion Ivanhoe Winter and Eva Pauline Roe Winter.

Robert is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Winter and Kaye Couey.  He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Bowling Winter; children, Keith Robert Winter (Shelly) and Kayla Sue Phillips (Charlie) and Tracy Ann Winter; grandchildren, Kelsey Lauren Taylor, Drew White and Kaylyn Jordan (Taylor); and seven great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bill Couey; and a host of family and friends.

Bob was a devoted family man. He enjoyed telling stories and would talk to anyone who would listen. In his younger years he was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in a golf league. Bob was a founding member of a band called “The Pioneers” who played at local nursing homes and retirement centers. In his down time, he loved to catch up on classic Western movies. 

He served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. He retired from Teletype Corporation.
