Robert “Bob” Wooley, 79, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on October 10, 2026, at Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Robert was born on October 28, 1946, in Little Rock to Bruce J. Wooley and Christina (Koch) Wooley. A 1964 graduate of Little Rock Technical High, Robert attended and graduated from the David Ranken, Jr., School of Mechanical Trades in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1966. He served in the US Navy from 1966-1968 aboard the USS Arcturus (AF-52) as a Machinery Repair Man. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson Mike Morrissey.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving bride, Anna Wooley of Little Rock; two daughters, Anna Kyle and Erin Newman (Brad), stepdaughter Kelly Morrissey and stepson Jia Deng of Little Rock who he loved as his own; grandchildren, Caleb, Aiden, Jade and Lane; great grandchild, Russell. His is also survived by his brother Charles Wooley (Sherry); niece, Katie Dempster (John); and nephew, Justin Wooley (Zoe).
Robert was a machinist his entire career and into his retirement. He was part-owner, with his father and brother, of Wooley Electric Supply Company, Inc. in Little Rock. The Wooley brothers were well-known for their ability to “fix everything”. Bob was often referred to as the “Street Husband” in his Heights neighborhood. Anyone needing a repair, a part, a tool, etc., they called Bob. He enjoyed sharing his skills and knowledge with others and rarely turned down a request for help. His decision to be an organ donor allows his giving spirit to live on.
Robert enjoyed working with his hands in his workshop and home. He and wife Anna enjoyed gardening and cooking together. He especially loved working on, collecting, and admiring cars of all kinds and had a particular fondness of Jaguars. He was a lifetime member of Wes Carmical Memorial Church in Cabot where he attended faithfully with Anna and Jia.
Robert’s life will be celebrated on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Smith Funeral Home, Little Rock, with visitation at 5:00 pm and service at 6:00 pm. He will be cremated.
