Roberta L. Perry

Roberta L. Perry, 84, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away January 29, 2023.

She was born April 22, 1938 in Cedarville, Arkansas to William and Velma Wood Carson. She graduated from North Little Rock High School and Little Rock University (UALR).

She married the love of her life Leslie J. Perry and together they enjoyed 64 years.

She is survived by her children, Greg Perry (Tracy), Mark Perry (Pamela); grandchildren, Adriane Johnston (Dillion), Joshua Perry (JoAnna), Miranda Perry, Alyssa Perry; great granddaughter, Annelise Johnston; siblings, E. Doyle Carson, Pat Kelly, Don Carson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Velma Carson; and husband, Leslie J. Perry.

Mrs. Perry was a teacher with the Pulaski County School District where she retired after teaching 6^th grade for 25 years. That was the beginning of her new career as “Memaw”.  Mrs. Perry was a long-time member of Ironton Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher for 51 years. She also served as Church Clerk and Church Treasurer.

Mrs. Perry enjoyed working crossword puzzles, especially the New York Times and Arkansas Democrat daily crossword puzzles. She enjoyed cross stitch and teaching grandkids the art of sewing. Her greatest treasure was her family. She was proud of her sons and daughters in law, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice for their loving support during this difficult time, and a special thanks to Jasmine Trimble and Gloria “Cookie” Penn for all their loving care. Thank you to Marilyn Gibson for always having the best ladies to care for mom.

Pallbearers will be: Joshua Perry, Dillion Johnston, John McGinness, Mark McGinness, Matthew McGinness, Matt Kemp, Earl Younger. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Loetscher.

Memorials may be made to Ironton Baptist Church General Fund.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM, Friday, February 3, 2023 at Ironton Baptist Church, with Funeral to begin at 11:00 AM with Dr. Sidney Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Ironton Cemetery.
