Roger Lynn Brockinton

Listen to Obituary

Roger Lynn Brockinton, age 68, was the son of the late James Carmen Brockinton and Venetia Brockinton Casto. He was preceded in death by his special Nanny, Maxie Heslep, his stepfather, R.B. Casto, and his two beloved cats, Tigger and Caylee, whom he missed terribly.

He is survived by his mother, Venetia Casto; two sisters, Gayle Brockinton and Shelia Houston (Wayne); and his nephew, Zach Houston.

Roger loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his closest friends. While he never wanted to kill an animal, he truly loved catching fish and releasing them back into the water. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR racing.

Roger retired from Maybelline/L’Oréal after many years of dedicated service. His longtime friend and fellow Stationary Engineer, David Dillon, took wonderful care of him, along with Pete, Will, and many others.

Roger was saved as a young boy at First Baptist Church in Sherwood. In recent years, after becoming disabled, he found great joy and comfort in watching his favorite TV pastor.
