Roger O. Reaves

Roger Owen Reaves, 83, of Benton, Arkansas passed away September 9, 2022.  He was born April 19, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Garland Aubry and Josephine Margaret (Murphy) Reaves.

Roger was of the Roman Catholic faith.  He was a member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Roger was a teacher for over forty years and taught secondary History and English, and elementary exceptional education.  He was an avid learner and teacher.  Roger had a love for History.  He had a great sense of humor and a generous heart.  Roger was a wonderful brother and friend to all who knew him. 

Preceding Roger in death are his brothers, Gordon Reaves and Charles Reaves.

Roger leaves behind his sister, Mary Ann (Reaves) Dyer and husband Ron of Benton, Arkansas; three children; 5 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and family members and friends.

Memorial service held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 12 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton with inurnment following at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Roger’s memory to his favorite charities:  St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Red Cross.
