Ronald Joseph Koch was born in Little Rock on August 6, 1958 and died June 30, 2025. Ronnie attended Catholic Schools and graduated from Catholic High School. He had various jobs early on, working at Casa Bonita, and a garage door factory. He spent 35 years at CARTI where he played a vital role caring for cancer patients. In the last several years, he was a Black Angus Cattle Rancher and a Mayflower school bus driver.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kimberly Koch, daughter, Lauren; 3 sisters: Sharon, Doris and Patsy; nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Dorothy Koch.
Ronnie enjoyed the farm and his cows. Although he would travel, Kim insisted he enjoyed a stay vacation much more than travel. He would sightsee on his drive to the farm, keep an eye out for what was going on during his bus route, or talk to every person that he gave a ticket to, while working at school ball games.
Ronnie wanted to participate in anything that Lauren was a part of. That meant, hogs, goats, cheese team, FFA events and eventually the President of Mayflower FFH Foundation. He loved working with all kids, not just Lauren. He also loved being on the Prop Dads crew with Lauren’s Dance Team.
Ronnie enjoyed homemade ice cream, deep fried turkey, and grilling. All things done outside. When Dr. Campbell told him he would need to stay away from dirt while recovering, his thought was, he would be fine—he had a cab tractor. We are so thankful he is walking the streets of gold and has no worries about what is under his feet. God is good—all the time.
