Ronald Keith Ransom, 76, passed away on August 9, 2026, in Southaven, Mississippi. A native of Sherwood, Arkansas, Ronald was born in Little Rock on July 7, 1950, and built a life grounded in faith, community, and family. He served in The United States Air Force as a Sergeant and Airplane Mechanic from 1970-1974. For his career he spent many years serving as a machinist for Maybelline.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Ransom and Helen Ransom, his brother Richard Ransom, along with his twin brothers, David Ransom and Charles Ransom.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Rebecca "Becky" Ransom; stepson Clint Skiver (Tami); stepdaughter Cristi Long (Mike); older brothers Ray Ransom and George Ransom; sisters Debbie Herring, Linda Ransom, Charlene Frankson, and Barbara Tomboli; sister-in-law Debbie Ransom; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

An avid outdoorsman who found true solace in hunting and fishing, Ronald was a dedicated member of The Old River Fishing Club for 51 years. Over his five decades with the club, he served in nearly every leadership capacity—including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and active board member. At home, he adored his two cats, Molly and Tiger. Ronald’s warmth, service, and love for the outdoors leave a lasting legacy for all who knew him.
