Ronnie "Dean" Russell, age 61, passed away January 12, 2013. Ronnie was born March 26, 1951 in Mineral Wells, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years; Sharon Russell of Hot Springs, Arkansas, son; Wesley Alan Russell and wife Kim of Rison, Arkansas, daughter; Candace Renee Russell of Hot Springs, Arkansas, two brothers; Bill Russell and wife Beth of Benton, Arkansas, Larry Russell and wife Spring of Granbury, Texas, his mother and father; Pauline and Dave Sledge of Little Rock, three grandsons; Robert and Wyatt Russell of Rison and Skylar Russell of Hot Springs, as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends, all who loved him dearly and will miss him always.
Dean loved his family and the people of Hot Springs. He attended schools in Hot Springs from kindergarten through graduation. Dean's favorite pastimes were hunting, camping, and riding through the mountains in his Jeep. He was a self-employed construction contractor.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 16th at Smith Family Funeral Home, Benton Chapel located at 322 N. Market, Benton, AR 72015. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to Garland County Humane Society. For information call 501-778-7100.
