Ronnie Lee Thompson

Ronnie Thompson, 71, of the Oak Grove community in North Little Rock, entered his heavenly home on September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 28, 1955, to C.L. and Melba Thompson in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Ronnie grew up in Oak Grove, where he forged lifelong friendships. He was a proud graduate of Oak Grove High School’s Class of 1973 and remained in the community he loved throughout his life, filling it with joy, kindness, and unwavering love. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, C.L. and Melba Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Trisha Thompson; their three children, Karen Johnson (Doug), Michael Thompson (Trish), and Beth Lakey (Chris); six grandchildren, Haley, Chance, Tanner, Wyatt, Wesley, and Hannah; one great-grandchild, Sawyer; and his beloved dog, Bailey. Ronnie worked for North Little Rock Wastewater Utility for 48 years. He was a man who believed in showing up, doing things right, and always giving his best. His loyalty was evident in so many areas of his life, perhaps most remarkably in his 48 years of service to the same organization—a testament to the kind of man he was. Loyalty wasn’t simply something Ronnie believed in; it was something he lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Graves Memorial Baptist Church for The Grove Ministry, where Ronnie was a lifelong member.
