Rosanna Turley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on September 14, 1939, in Morehead, Kentucky, Rosanna’s life was a testament to kindness, love, and the joy of family.
Graduating high school in her hometown of Morehead, Rosanna embarked on her early career with positions at Teletype and Timex in Little Rock. However, it was her work alongside her husband Gene at Turley’s Service Station for over 25 years that became a defining chapter of her life. Those who knew her remember how she always affectionately called Gene “Love,” encapsulating the tenderness and deep bond they shared—a bond that was perhaps her greatest memory and joy in life: simply loving Gene and being loved by him in return.
Rosanna’s personality radiated warmth and humor; she was known for her kind, welcoming nature and her infectious laughter that brought light to every gathering. Her passions extended beyond family and work. She loved to travel, garden, sew, and explore crafts, filling her days with creativity and beauty. Yet, above all, Rosanna took the greatest pride in raising her eight children—a monumental accomplishment that speaks to her unwavering dedication and nurturing heart.
Her family, who deeply mourn her passing, includes her husband Gene Turley, and children Tim Watson, Steven Watson, Michael Watson, Joann Negrette, Carl Turley, Darryl Turley, and Tonya Gautz. She is also remembered fondly by her sister, Clydia Hyatt, and surrounded by the love of several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy. The family also honors the memory of her parents, Charlie and Lilly Wright, and her brother Charles Wright, who have predeceased her.
A visitation to celebrate Rosanna’s life will be held on June 18, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church, located at 18823 Crystal Valley Rd, Little Rock, AR 72210. This will be followed by a funeral service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the same location. Interment will take place at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas, starting at noon.
Rosanna Turley’s life was marked by deep love—not only within her family but also in the gentle way she touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and devotion will remain a comforting presence to those who loved her. As we say goodbye, we hold close the memories of a woman whose heart was as expansive as the gardens she tended and whose spirit will forever bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.
