Roselyn Hickey
Our mother, Roselyn Rebecca Priest Hickey is "A Rose Beyond the Wall". She passed away on April 2, 2011 at the age of 96 years.
Meeting her on the other side were her parents, Lilburn and Ponnie Priest; her twin brother, Russell Priest; her sister, Irene Taylor; and her brother, Bob Priest. Her remaining family that rejoice and mourn her passing are daughters, Linda Wilson, Kathy Holden (Fiancée, Tom Simpson), and Gayle Fisher (Steve); grandchildren, Shannon Bauman (Mike), Julie Fisher, Marissa Holden and Delaney Holden; great-grandchildren, Kellye Bauman (Fiancée, Garret Gardner) and Brady Bauman.
She was our heart, our anchor, and our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Gigi. She was a charter member of Gardner Memorial UMC, and was its oldest member of 84 years. She retired as the head bookkeeper at Sears, and began to travel the world. Her family were early settlers from the 1890's in North Little Rock. She would want us to all continue to build our lives just as they did. Celebrate her life as she has made her final trip and is so happy to arrive home. We are grateful that she gave us life.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. Wednesday until the service begins.
