Roy James Bray Jr., age 83, of Bismarck, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his home. He was born August 25, 1930 to Roy James and Gladys Herrin Bray. Junior was a member of Bismarck Missionary Baptist Church and along with his brother, Herschel Bray founded and operated B & B Hardware in Bismarck for many years. He served on the Board of Directors at the Central Arkansas Telephone Co-op and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Oma Lee Cox Bray; a infant daughter, Christy Lee Bray and one brother, Herschel Bray.
Survivors are one son, Greg Bray; two granddaughters, Jessica Bray and Jennifer Bray; one great-granddaughter, Alexandria Le'Ann Luker all of Bismarck; two sisters, Irene Gaither, of Bismarck, Pat Launius of Doddridge, Arkansas; two brothers, Kenneth Bray of Poyen, Arkansas, Charles Bray of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.
Services for Saturday, February 8th have been canceled due to weather and will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 9th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro. Troy Bray and Bro. Bernard Strother officiating. Interment will follow at DeRoche Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bismarck Missionary Baptist Church.
