Rulona Baker

Listen to Obituary

Rulona Lee Baker passed away peacefully at her home in Austin, Arkansas, on July 27, 2026, at the age of 57.

Born on October 19, 1968, in Midland, Texas, Rulona was the beloved daughter of the late Betty Jean Baker (Starr) and Donald R Baker. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Roy Kelley.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving siblings, Judy Moon, Mike Baker, and Mark Baker, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, caregivers, and everyone whose life was made brighter by knowing her.

Anyone who knew her understood that words were never needed to know exactly how she felt. Her bright smile and expressive personality spoke louder than words ever could. She had a way of making people smile simply by being herself, and she was deeply loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She found so much joy in the little things that made life beautiful. She loved attending Building Bridges, where she made countless memories with friends and caregivers who became like family. She could happily watch Bluey for hours, loved being outside enjoying the fresh air, and never tired of stacking cups or carefully sorting her beloved bears. Those simple moments brought her endless happiness, and seeing her happy brought joy to everyone around her.

Rulona reminded us every day that love doesn’t have to be spoken to be felt. She taught patience, unconditional love, and how to find happiness in the simplest moments. Her sweet spirit, mischievous grin, and the happiness she shared so freely will never be forgotten.

While our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Rulona’s legacy is one of pure love, laughter, and joy. She leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories that her family and friends will treasure forever.

“Some people leave footprints on our hearts so deep that they never fade.”

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Ru Bug , Rooter , & Googy.
