Ruth P Davis

Ruth P. Davis of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on August 29, 2023 at Hospice Home Care, Little Rock, Arkansas. Ruth was born on January 22, 1932 in Marianna, Arkansas.

She worked in the Nursery at St. Vincent Hospital for 26 years. She was passionate about taking care of newborn babies. Ruth was known for her warm welcome and radiant smile to everyone at Crystal Hill Baptist Church. She was a dedicated prayer warrior, always checking in with family and friends, ready to share an encouraging word. Ruth was a good cook. She shared many meals with her family and could be counted on to share favorite dishes at church functions or with friends in need. She also served in Vacation Bible School and as a teacher at Crystal Hill Baptist Church in her earlier years.

Ruth is survived by her husband Kenneth Davis of 71 years; daughter Lynnell Fuester (husband Chuck); son Herschel Davis (wife Cindy); grandchildren Jennifer Reynolds (husband Billy), Phillip Fuester (wife Jessica), Amy O'Malley (husband Ken), Nathan Davis; and ten great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Free and Kenneth Free and sisters, Ruby Overton and Elizabeth Baynes.

A visitation in honor of Ruth will be held on Friday, September 1 from 6-8 pm at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, AR. A Celebration of Life for Ruth P. Davis will take place on Saturday, September 2 at 10:00 am at Crystal Hill Baptist Church, located at 18823 Crystal Valley Rd., Little Rock, AR. A graveside service will follow at Crystal Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
