Ruth Ann Hale

Ruth Ann (Woods) Hale, born February 28, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at her home in Benton, Arkansas.

On September 1, 1972, Ruth Ann married Kenneth Hale, her committed and loving companion for more than 52 years. He was faithfully devoted to her care during these last several years of her illness. Love surrounded her as she joined her Lord and Savior.

Ruth Ann is survived by her husband Kenneth; children Susan Davis and Jason Hale (Alisha); son-in-law Reggie Roberson; grandchildren James Abram, Norrisa Abram, and Jaxon Hale; sisters Sara Woods and Jean Porter (Michael); and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Hudson and Wanzie Ruth (Stringfield) Woods, and daughter Liz Roberson.

Her strong Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life, and having committed her life to our Lord at a young age, we know she is now with Him in heaven. One of her favorite scriptures states: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). She likewise trusted Him to guide her path and provide for all her needs.

Another favorite verse reads: “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: and be ye kind, one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)
