Ruth Ann Gordon Herndon age 49 of Cabot died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in St Vincent Hospital North in Sherwood. She was born February 27, 1960 the daughter of Fletcher R. Gordon and Helen Jester Gordon. Ruth received most of her education in Ponca City, OK and graduated high school from Osceola, AR in 1978. She worked for the Farm Service Agency in Paragould and the Regions Bank in Jonesboro before retiring due to ill health in 1999. She was preceded in death by her father Fletcher Ross Gordon.
She is survived by her husband Jack Barry Herndon of Cabot, a daughter, Amy Ruthann Bonnabel and son in law Alfred Eugene Bonnabel IV of Conway, her mother, Helen Gordon of Hot Springs; one brother, Fletcher Lynn Gordon of Hot Springs, one nephew, Jacob Gordon, one niece Amanda Gordon, and one great niece Milania Gordon all of Houston, TX.
Funeral services will be 2:30 Saturday, April 4, 2009, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Mark Bagley officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 Pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Spina Bifida Association of Arkansas P. O. Box 24663 Little Rock. AR. 72221 or to St. Jude Children Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN. 38105.
