Ruth W. Johnson, age 95 of Sherwood, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013. She was born on November 14, 1917 in Conway, Arkansas; she was the daughter of John Walter Welch and Nancy Jane Waters Welch.
Ruth was a legal secretary for Gordon and Gordon for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Johnson, her sister Margaret Loveless, her brother John Walter Welch, Jr, and her grandson Richard Bryant.
Survivors include her daughter Jane Bryant, Altheimer; her son Ben Clements, Morrilton; step-son Tommy Johnson, North Little Rock. Grandchildren, Stacy Clements, Spokane Washington; Nancy Jefferys, Phoenix, Arizona; Robin Campbell, Little Rock; Rhonda Baskin, Little Rock; Rebecca Adams, Chesapeake, Virginia ; Russell Bryant, Fort Worth, Texas; Mandy Farr, North Little Rock. Very special friends Donna McCall, North Little Rock; Garda Pohle, Angels Camp, California, and Peggy Clements, Phoenix, Arizona.
The family would like to thank Sherwood Nursing & Rehab and Odyssey Hospice for Mrs. Johnson's care.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Levy Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2013 at Levy Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Levy Baptist Church or Altheimer United Methodist Church Scholarship fund.
