Ruth Lorene Francis, age 78 of Arkadelphia died Monday, November 7, 2005 in the Twin Rivers Health & Rehab. She was born April 19, 1927 in Little Rock, AR the daughter of the late Jacob C. and Susie Marie Jones Clements. She was a retired seamstress at Levi-Strauss and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Collis "Cobb" Francis, Sr.; one son, Collis Jewell Francis, Jr. of Sulfur, OK; two daughters, Peggy Edington of Gurdon and Cyndia Burress of Arkadelphia; three brothers, Raymond and Joe Clements both of Arkadelphia and Lester Clements of Moore, OK; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, November 10, 2005 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Bro. Temon Jenkins and Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Interment will be in the Golden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Donny, Jason, Erik, and Jeffery Edington, Jonathan, Danny and Tommy Francis. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Fisk and David Markham.
