Ruth Ellen McCallum, age 75 of Magnet Cove went to be with the Lord on Aug 27, 2006 at the Garland Nursing & Rehab. She was born Feb. 27, 1931 in Judsonia, AR the daughter of the late Richard Willis and Clara Henrietta Perryman Knowlton. She was a housewife and secretary of Ladies Auxiliary at First Missionary Baptist Church at Butterfield, where she was also a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Oscar Joe McCallum, one brother, Donald Knowlton .
Survivors include two sons, Steve McCallum and wife, Anne of Hot Springs and Stanley McCallum and wife, Brenda of Magnet Cove; one daughter, Debra and husband, Gary Pilcher of Malvern; one brother & sister-in-law, Bill & Hazel Knowlton of Cedar Park, TX; Six grandchildren, Scott, Christi & Robert McCallum, Capricia, Chad and Caleb Cole; several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Wednesday, Aug 30, 2006 at First Missionary Baptist Church at Butterfield, AR with Bro. Bobby Goodknight offficating. Interment will be in the Rockport Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
