Ruth E. Whitley age 72 of the Caney Community near Bismarck died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at her home. She was born May 28, 1938 in Hot Spring County Arkansas the daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude Laird Loy. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
Survivors include her husband of almost fifty-seven years, Herman Whitley; one son, Gene Whitley of Diamondhead, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Tonya Risley of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Corey Whitley of Caney Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Taylor Whitley; one sister, Dorothy Brown of Malvern, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 9th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Bro. Hollis McDermott officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Cemetery Association% Earlene Hawthorn, 1104 Old Military Rd. Arkadelphia, AR. 71823.
