Ruth Dye Wooley, 93, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. She then completed Nursing School and was a Nurse until her retirement. She formerly owned Cottage Flowers and Gifts. She loved the woods, hunting, the sun and being in the water. She was full of wisdom.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Wooley Davis and Carol (Ron) Stephens, both of Sherwood; three grandchildren, Duane Milton, Carol Townsend and Nikki Stephens; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and George Berry, of Cabot; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends at Woodland Hills Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Wooley and six siblings.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cato Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
