Ryan William Lazenby

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ryan Lazenby on May 7, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Groton, Connecticut, but lived essentially his entire life in central Arkansas. He had a quiet, yet confident demeanor, and could always find the good in any situation. He was committed to his family, and always made sure he got VIP WWE Wrestling tickets to share with his brother Aaron, his closest friend and most loyal confidant. Ryan truly loved the simple things in life. He was an accomplished chess player, musician, and loved Star Wars and duck hunting, and of course, playing golf with his Dad. His greatest love, other than family, was baseball, a passion he shared with his Mom. Ryan was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, and he and his Mom went to the Braves’ Spring training at Disney World for 13 years. He also coached little league baseball and found so much joy in helping these kids. Ryan graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law, and completed a LLM at Texas A&M. He absolutely loved the responsibilities and challenges of being an attorney; and was voted one of Little Rock’s top twenty attorneys by AY Magazine.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Connie and Willa Mowery, his paternal grandparents, Earl W. Lazenby, Charles and Elizabeth Menard, and Uncle Larry W. Lazenby and Aunt Carol J. Lazenby.

He is survived by his father Ron Lazenby, his mother Toni Mowery Lazenby, his brother Aaron Lazenby, all of Little Rock, Uncles Tommy Mowery of Petersburg, WV, Gary E. Mowery (Gail) of Maysville, WV, Aunt Joan Mowery of Harrisonburg, VA and Grandmother Paula Sue Mowery, of Petersburg, WV. He is also survived by cousins Shane, Ethan, and Taylor Mowery, Tessa Rouhselang, Blake Lazenby and Jamie Bernt.

While we will miss Ryan so much, we will never forget his love, his smile and his example for us all.
